MARUTI SUZUKI has been finally struck with the wisdom of launching a diesel SX4, news of a diesel SX4 coming this February is mostly confirmed.The difference between petrol and diesel car is 70-80 thousand rupees.
Engine used will be same engine of Fiat Linea and Tata Manza. It will be a 1248cc multi jet Fiat Sourced engine with VGT(Variable geometry turbo) producing 90ps and 200Nm of torque. It is a gem of a engine and highly fuel efficient.The acceleration is brisk, and 100km/hr comes up in around 13 seconds.Top whack is nearly 170km/hr.
Company has not announced of making cosmetic changes in exterior or interior of the car, so expect the car to be same as it is, for the looks.
The company has not announced the official price of the car, expectation can be made around 7lakhs. If Maruti becomes firm in keeping the difference to 10000rs, than their is no real competition to this car in the upper C segment and Verna, Vento and Fiesta and Linea will face a tough competition.
