The pictures shows the first glimpse of the car, a truly sporty sedan having muscular stance and is broad shouldered and tipped forward. It has a more European look than the Japanese look unlike most of the Suzuki models have.
Large 18" alloy wheels, well sculpted bonnet, large head lights along with projector lamps and big honey comb type grill gives the car a very attractive as well as a solid stance.
Wrap around tail lamps, curvy trunk lid with a stop lamp mounted on it and twin rectangular exhaust pipes makes the rear side of the car very attractive. The build of the car is very robust and solid and you will find it better than the Hondas and the Toyotas, but it does not have the built to last feel that a VW or Skoda or the european cars have. The car has got a very upmarket look you can feel it from the pictures.
Under the hood is an extremely powerful 2.4 liter petrol engine that churns out a mighty 185bhp which is just way ahead of the same segment competitors, however the engine may be re-tuned for the Indian conditions where mileage is more important. However talking about the 185bhp engine, the engine is very responsive and delivers Accord like performance and you can feel the sporty grunt sound from the twin exhaust as you tap on the accelerator pedal. The refinement is not as good as a Honda, but their is enough bang for your buck. The motor is very smooth and responsive in the mid-range of around 2700 rpm. The needle of the speedo can cross 180km/hr easily, that's shows the power of this car, although in our country we only have a few patches of roads where you can actually drive at this speed. The engine has "OVERSQUARE" design, where the bore is larger than the stroke which is a very unique technology, and also is called a shorter stroke engine.
Looking at the interiors you get a very fresh design with high tech features. The standard features include Cruise control, Dual Zone Climate control AC, Premium sound system of 7 speakers , Trip computer (which can you help you with information on average fuel consumption, distance to empty, outside and inside temperatures,gear indicator etc), steering mounted audio controls, electric powered seats, rear AC vents, SRS airbags. Paddle shifts for shifting gears on the steering wheel for the CVT(Continuously variable transmission) version. The space in the car is ample, a wheelbase of 2700mm gives you ample legroom in the front and the rear, the headroom and the elbow room is also plenty, the trunk volume is very low to 376 liters which is significantly lower than the competitors.The white on black dials looks good but the clarity isn't good, they look good when lit. The interiors has grey theme but you can opt for beige theme also.
The international car is equipped with 4WD (four wheel drive), but their are less possibility of the 4WD option for India. The car will be offered with a 6-speed manual or CVT based transmission system. The car has got all four wheel disc brakes and anti-lock as standard along with electronic brake force distribution for the most secure braking and for superior safety.
The car will come with a price tag in between 15-17lakh approximately and the will be slotted between Civic and Accord and the car is well matched to take the likes of Honda,Toyota,VW etc. Overall the car feels much above the Suzuki levels if build quality and design is concerned. The car is a whole new package along with quality bits that you have not seen in a Suzuki so far. Suzuki has to set a new brand image for car of this segment, because in India it very famous for small cars.
